Welcome to Beta Swap Shop

This is a new idea/site of mine in order to provide people that want to do a beta swap to they're 2001-2005 Hyundai Accent.

What is a Beta?
Beta is the name for a family of Hyundai engines. There are various displacements, 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L, although the 1.6L Beta was never brought into the United States. They are found in Elantras and base model Tiburons.

Ok so what is a Beta Swap?
When we are talking about the Beta Swap, we are generally referring to swapping the 2.0L Beta from the Elantra or Tiburon into the Accent or Scoupe.

The parts available from this site are more specifically targetted to 2001-2005 Accent owners (because that is what I have, and what I know about). Maybe later I will have parts available for other models as well. And for these Accents the best candidate for the swap is the 2.0L BetaII engine from a 2001-2003 Elantra or 2003-2004 Tiburon, preferrably without CVVT.

What's special about this site?
It's the only site around that has stuff for Beta swapping. Hyundais are not like Hondas. We do not have companies making parts for us left and right. Most of everything we do is custom made. This site will take a little of the guess work out of doing a beta swap and make it a matter of just hooking up wires (which I will save for another post).

So stick around because I haven't had a chance to put anything on this site yet, I'm still working out the kinks.

I own a 2002 accent GSI and

I own a 2002 accent GSI and am wondering if the motor mounts are the same when installing the 2.0L? and i hear you  can use the trans from the 1.6L and also that you can still use the ECU? is all of this true? so all you really need is the motor? I know i know lots of questions... just  got into the hyundai scene. thanks.

they are except the

they are except the passenger side, as for tranny, yes, it will bolt on to the beta with minimal trouble, some of the block will have to be shaved to make room for the top slave cylinder bolt hole..don't skimp and have it secured on 1 bolt, i learned the hard way when my slave cylinder came loose and i had no clutch and couldn't shift

and yes, you can use the 1.6l ecu on the beta, just some sensor wiring and splicing will need to be done,

any other questions..feel free to pm me

we've had many lc owners have problem with engine not starting, even after chekcing everything..this is becase u have to use the alpha coil packs
